In the summer of 2008, it became exceedingly clear that the Republican Party would not win the presidency again. George W. Bush, having invaded Iraq on the bogus premise that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction at his disposal, had wounded the party’s image quite profoundly. Additionally, Bear Sterns, the investment banking firm, had collapsed, and the entire economy appeared poised to implode.
Into the void stepped Barack Obama, black Jesus as Tucker Carlson uses as a less-than-admirable description. Unknown, untested and arrogantly aloof, Obama became the darling of the American media. His chief attributes were his good looks and the fact that he was half black (of course, he traded on the illusion that he was all black). John McCain, the Republican nominee sent to the meat grinder as sacrificial lamb, never stood a chance. But against this backdrop, not even with Jesus as their nominee could the Republicans have won! Obama waltzed to victory, and America was headed toward the cliff of socialism.
For eight years, Obama and his socialist patrons dragged America further and further left, all the while never failing to remind us of our history with slavery. In this quagmire of thinly disguised hatred for white people, especially white men, the notion of woke was born. With it came DEI, gay pride, white guilt and a myriad of other ideas designed to diminish the nation’s achievements as invalid and grow the importance and reach of government. The left-leaning media fawned all over Obama and everyone fortunate enough to be in his orbit.
The emergence of Donald Trump and the MAGA movement in 2016 was in direct contrast to the Obama mantra. Trump preached American greatness and cherished that the nation gave birth to the idea of power to the people, not the government. With such contrasting views, the unabashedly corrupt, state-run media had a decision to make, and it (naturally) chose the Obama side. Trump was a racist, fascist, misogynist, rapist and every other derogatory term du jour they could conjure. And by extension, so was everyone who agreed with him and his worldview.
Trump’s election in 2016 was a bump in the road for the Obama faction of the now openly Marxist Democrats. With the unabashedly corrupt, state-run media in their pocket, the Trump Administration was attacked for four solid years. By the time 2020 rolled around and COVID forced society into hibernation, the trap was set for all types of election interference. And it worked. Joe Biden, demented and foundering, was installed as president, and Obama and his cadre of Marxist bureaucrats could resume pushing the nation further and further left.
But time is the great equalizer. The four years of Obama’s third term have proven to be an absolute disaster. From domestic policies that have bankrupted the Treasury, allowed for the invasion of an uncounted number of terrorists and cartel bosses, reignited the dormant concept of racism and fanned the flames of antisemitism to foreign policies that handed a world-class airbase and billions in high tech arms to the Taliban, forced Russia into invading Ukraine, allowed Iran to resume its high scale funding of terrorism to helping forge the alliance between Russia, China, Iran and North Korea, America is a nation teetering on the brink.
And history appears to be repeating itself with a twist!
As the nation attempts to digest the full scope of Joe Biden’s mental meltdown during his debate with Trump (him again?!), the Marxist Democrats are in full panic mode. Biden’s dementia has become so obvious that all the gaslighting in the world can’t hide it any longer. As it becomes clear that he is incapable of defeating an ascendent Trump, they scramble for an alternative. Can Kamala suddenly become passably intelligent? Can the very handsome Gavin Newsome outrun his epically bad performance as governor of California? Can Hillary dust off her bag of dirty tricks and re-emerge as the devil in disguise? Can Michelle carry on the Obama tradition of racism and victimization in order to sway voters?
In a longer view, these questions seem somewhat inconsequential. Like McCain 16 years earlier, the die has been cast and the nation has tired of governmental overreach and far left policies from the Marxist Democrats. Their image has been so soiled that not even Jesus as the Marxist Democrat nominee can win in November.
Regardless of who ultimately winds up carrying the banner for the Marxist Democrats, regardless of the vapid praise for their leftward tilt by the unabashedly corrupt, state-run media, regardless of the tiresome allegations of criminality against Trump, the American people have had enough of the empty promises and horrendous policies of the Marxist Democrats. Come November, it should surprise no one if the Republicans ride this wave of disenchantment to control of the Senate, the House and the Executive Branch.
Profound! All inclusive too.
